AES Background

History

American Electric Supply, Inc. was founded in 1984 when its principle interests decided that the wholesale company they worked for did not provide the customer with all it should. They decided to strike out on their own and build a company that was customer-service oriented. With a handful of employees and salesmen, American Electric Supply, Inc. was born.

In the twenty years since its creation, American has grown to be a premiere provider of industrial and commercial electrical products in Southern California. With over seventy employees, a fleet of 18 trucks from pickups to 30' stake-beds and our excellent buying power, we can provide our customers with quality products for a competitive price and deliver it to their job site or shop within 1 or 2 days of placing the order.

Convenient Will-Call Location

We are located one block North of the 91 freeway, from the Maple St. exit, in Corona, offering easy access on/off the freeway.

Our will-call counter is open from 6:00AM to 5:3OPM (but emergency will-calls can be made anytime).

Emergency Service

After-hours calls will be answered by an answering machine on which you will hear a message containing a pager #. This pager is always kept by one of our personnel with access to our warehouse. If your call is not an emergency, you may leave a message on the system, which will be answered first thing in the morning. If you need to place an order on the answering machine, it is our policy to get your order on one of our trucks going out in the morning.

Daily Material Procurement

We are centrally located in the "Greater L.A." market, enabling us to make daily will-calls at major electrical manufacturer’s distribution centers. We eliminate the wait for deliveries. Moving material rapidly is one of our top priorities.

Experienced and Capable Staff

We boast a very experienced and capable staff from top to bottom. We have a total of 78 employees, and our inside sales staff averages 18 years experience in electrical wholesaling! We are experts at locating hard-to-find items, and providing technical assistance. We pride ourselves in going beyond what is expected of most electrical distributors.
